

Emily Anna Bachan

Emily Anna Bachan is a Caribbean mental health advocate from Trinidad and Tobago, serving as the Caribbean National Mental Health Focal Point for Let’s Unpack It and the UNICEF Eastern Caribbean Association team. She is a member of the UNFPA Trinidad and Tobago Youth Advisory Group, leading work in advocacy, sexual and reproductive health rights, and gender-based violence, and co-chairs the Caribbean Decriminalization Suicide Coalition. A psychology graduate with a master’s in mediation studies, she is currently pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies at The University of the West Indies. Emily has founded and led multiple youth initiatives, co-authored Young Caribbean Minds Vol. 1 & 2, and is recognized for her compassionate, creative, and community-centered leadership.
