Sameer Yasin is a researcher, activist, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of multiple Sustainable Development Goals and social issues. He has previously led three startups and worked with multiple international bodies and nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he worked with ClimateEducate, contributing to the Klima Class series. He is also a former team lead for a NASA HERC team, representing India, where he led STEM engagement initiatives reaching over 13,000 students across the country. Sameer is currently an Ambassador for Nature Positive Universities, a programme of UNEP in collaboration with the University of Oxford, and serves as the Organisation Secretary of Alpha Team Org. He has received several national and international recognitions, most recently earning the Silver Honour at the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition.
