Nabila is a migration, human rights, and development expert by degree and profession, where she completed her BA in Social Work and Community Development and her MA in Migration and Refugee Studies. In her work, she focuses on displacement, climate change, and youth empowerment. She led initiatives building youth leadership locally and regionally, especially after completing her student leadership program at Georgetown University and the leadership fellowship programs 4 years ago. She has been coordinating youth empowerment projects in the fields of migration, refugees, and climate change through the Migration Youth and Children Platform, university clubs, local and regional NGOs, as well as UN agencies and embassies' youth councils in Lebanon. Currently, she serves as a project coordinator for two NGOs in Istanbul, implementing humanitarian, relief, and psychosocial support projects primarily in the Levant countries. She is currently the Social Inclusion & Protection Research Lead at Migration Youth & Children Platform where she maps and engages a strategic coalition of partners, targeting UN agencies (IOM, UNHCR, UNDP youth desks), academic institutions, and aligned youth networks to co-create outputs and amplify our advocacy reach toward the IMRF.
