Nagla Abbas is a passionate young lawyer and feminist leader from Zanzibar, Tanzania. A graduate of Zanzibar University, where she previously served as the chairperson of the university’s Legal Aid Clinic, Nagla advocates for women’s and girls’ rights, with a focus on gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health, and child protection. As a Women Deliver Emerging Leader and Program Manager at Assalam Community Foundation, she designs evidence-driven programs on SRHR and gender equality. Nagla is committed to empowering marginalized youth, particularly adolescent girls, and advocating for policies that create inclusive, safe spaces where their voices and rights are prioritized.
