Marwa Zamir is an Afghan-Irish law graduate from the National University of Ireland Maynooth set to begin her Master's in International Public Policy at UCL. She currently works with the Education Team at the Irish Refugee Council, supporting access to education for people seeking international protection and refugees across Ireland. Marwa is a passionate youth advocate and has worked with organizations including the National Youth Council of Ireland, Plan International Ireland, GOAL NextGen, and the UNHCR Refugee Advisory Board. Her advocacy focuses on education, youth participation, refugee rights, gender equality, and social inclusion. Having arrived in Ireland as a young refugee from Afghanistan, Marwa is committed to ensuring that young people from diverse backgrounds have access to opportunities and platforms where their voices can be heard. She was recognized as a 25 Under 25 Youth Changemaker by Common Purpose and is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
