Akonkwa Nyamwira Sylvain is a civil society activist, humanitarian volunteer, and youth leader from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He serves as a volunteer with the Red Cross, Civil Society activist and the Coordinator of a youth-led organization promoting peacebuilding, social cohesion and community development. With a strong commitment to gender equality, youth empowerment, and inclusive dialogue, he works at the grassroots level to amplify young voices and support community-driven solutions. As Global Ambassador for the DRC with the International Youth Council on Gender Equality, he is dedicated to advancing advocacy, collaboration, and youth-led action for a more just and equitable world.
