Morocco

Aziza El Azizi is an intersectional feminist, gender equality advocate, and youth empowerment leader from Morocco, deeply committed to advancing human rights and social justice. She currently serves as a Gender Equality Ambassador with ETHREA and is a human rights activist with Amnesty International Morocco, where she contributes to rights-based advocacy and research. Aziza is the Program Coordinator at Project Soar Association, a Moroccan nonprofit dedicated to empowering adolescent girls, particularly in rural and underserved communities. In this role, she leads community-driven initiatives that equip girls and young women with leadership skills, life skills education, and the tools to challenge harmful practices such as child marriage, while fostering confidence, agency, and self-empowerment. She is also a CorpsAfrica alumna, having served one year in the High Atlas Mountains, where she supported community development initiatives, including the establishment of a kindergarten to expand teen girls’ access to education and early leadership opportunities in rural areas. Through her work across grassroots organizations, international networks, and advocacy platforms, Aziza champions gender equality, youth leadership, and inclusive development.
