IYCGE Appoints New Director

The Executive Board of the International Youth Council on Gender Equality appoints Safa Atiah as Director of Administration, effective immediately. 


The appointment responds to the Council’s rapid expansion. Assisting the Executive Board with implementational priorities, the Director of Administration will ensure efficiency and clarity across IYCGE’s diverse cohort of activists, academics, and leaders. Overseeing a versatile team of Administrators, the Director will lead the Council’s mission in technological innovation, talent inclusion, and Artificial Intelligence. The position represents the IYCGE’s continuing commitment to equity, progress, and meaningful activism in every field of gender equality. 


Safa is the perfect candidate for the position. During her tenure as Assistant to the Chairperson, she resolved interdepartmental disputes, provided strategic insights, and demonstrated tireless dedication that proved indispensable to the Global Perspectives research project and the Global Ambassadors program. Her past experience will meet the increasingly complex future of the IYCGE’s world-wide activities. The Executive Board is happy to find in her a supportive colleague, an impactful activist, and a true leader who pursues the vision of youth leadership.
