Introducing our Gender Equality & the Sustainable Development Goals Programme
Tomorrow marks the launch of the International Youth Council on Gender Equality (IYCGE)’s educational programme, Gender Equality & the Sustainable Development Goals.
Over five weeks, more than 200 participants will explore the intersection of gender equality and the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), examining how gender shapes issues ranging from poverty and food security to education, health, economic opportunity, and sustainable development.
We are honoured to welcome Maurizio Massari, former Italian Ambassador and Representative to the European Union & UN, as part of the programme’s opening, alongside Diletta Biferari, PhD Candidate, who will deliver a lecture introducing SDGs 1, 2, and 3: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, and Good Health and Well-Being.
We look forward to welcoming our participants tomorrow and to the conversations, ideas, and collaborations that will emerge over the next five weeks.
