Global Ambassador Preliminary Investigation Conference

The International Youth Council on Gender Equality (IYCGE) will convene its second official gathering, the Preliminary Investigation Conference, bringing together youth ambassadors from multiple countries to examine pressing gender inequality issues at the national level on February 7-8, 2026.

During the conference, ambassadors will deliver brief national addresses outlining the key gender-related challenges facing their countries, the underlying causes of these issues, and their social and structural impacts. The session is designed to foster cross-regional understanding and help shape the Council’s research priorities and future initiatives.

Opening remarks will be delivered by the Chair, and the conference will conclude with reflections from the Deputy Chairperson. The meeting will also include opportunities for dialogue, allowing participants to engage with one another’s perspectives and areas of focus.

A full written record of the conference proceedings will be published, contributing to IYCGE’s ongoing efforts to document youth-led research, lived realities, and policy-relevant discussions on gender equality worldwide.

The Preliminary Investigation Conference marks an important step in advancing collaborative, regionally grounded approaches to understanding gender inequality and strengthening international youth leadership in this field.
