Dürdane Öz 

Scotland

Dürdane Öz is a Law graduate whose work sits at the intersection of international law, human rights, legal-policy analysis, and institutional accountability. With experience spanning international policy, civil society and youth-led advocacy. She brings an interdisciplinary and intersectional lens to complex legal and governance challenges. Her work includes socio-legal research on institutional responses to gender-based violence in Scottish universities. Dürdane is particularly committed to advancing gender-responsive legal analysis, inclusive governance, and evidence-based policy development. She has held leadership roles within university and civic organisations, including Vice President of the Glasgow Caledonian University Law Society and currently Head of Diversity for Young European Movement UK. 

The International Youth Council on Gender Equality represents the voices of young leaders from around the world, working together to break down barriers and create lasting change.
