The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Department serves as the moral and ethical foundation of the International Youth Council on Gender Equality (IYCGE). Dedicated to upholding fairness, representation, and belonging, the department ensures that every initiative within the council reflects the principles of justice, accessibility, and respect for all identities.
At the heart of the DEI Department’s work lies the promotion of equity-driven culture and internal accountability. The team oversees internal DEI relations, conflict mediation, and inclusive policy development to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all members. Beyond this, the department leads workshops, training sessions, and community dialogues on equity and justice, while working closely with the legal and governance branches to guarantee that all council practices align with international human rights and anti-discrimination standards.
